The Basic Kit works on its own when combined with regular furniture, for instance the back of a sofa. It can also be used as a landing and ramp for the cats to ascend to the top of a book shelf. A basic kit combined with itself or any of the other kits increases the possibilities exponentially.

Keep in mind that what is shown here is one of an infinite number of possible angles. The diagonal shelf can be steeper or more shallow, going up or down in either direction, depending on the requirements of the space into which it is being installed and on the abilities and limitations of your cats.

You also have the option of using the short or the long shelf as a landing or a ramp. Alternatively, both can be used to make a long ramp at the same or differing angles.
