Pippin

Meet Pippin...

Pippin needs a home.

Pippin is a ~12lb 2yo Flame Point Siamese male who fits the description in the Catster article very well. He has high cheekbones and a long, luscious lemur-like tail.

Pippin loves to climb and to be high up, to explore, to play gently and to roll around when you pet him. With his stunning blue eyes, he will make eye contact. His purr is strong and his vocalizations range from sweet little chirps to songful meows. I found that he is responsive to my tone and inflections so they are almost like real conversations rather than just arbitrary noises.

He is also responsive/interactive with play. He'll take turns with toys and games.

He needs time and good hiding places to determine he's safe. He will make efforts to come out and establish safety at his own pace. He tried to introduce himself to my two resident cats multiple times despite my cats' hissing and even physical attacks. He is devoid of aggression. When he is scared, threatened, or attacked, he runs away, curls up and turns his back to the assailant, just wanting it to go away.

This passivity suggests that he MUST be kept indoors, he should be the only or the first of other pets, or be among pets that are not territorial and aggressive, as my 8yo resident cats are.

Pippin bonded with my 9yo (human) girl very quickly, even sleeping next to her and walking on her carefully to get her attention. She was able to pet him for long periods of time within a couple of weeks. She is very good with animals and herself quite calm and gentle, which are ideal qualities around Pippin.

For all of his gentleness, he also has boldness, resilience, and joy. He had just begun to actually frolic with me when I made the painful decision to let him go. I let him go only because my resident cats refused to welcome him after a month of effort. He is a stunning, lovely, and perfect animal.

He enjoys cacking at birds and squirrels, etc. He likes raw food and canned food. Kibble is not good for him.

For the guardian who adopts Pippin permanently, I will offer CatScapes Cat Shelves for 50% off the retail price up to a value of $8k savings. The discount will be applied as a refund one year after purchase at full price to ensure that Pippin is doing well and being kept by the adoptive guardian.

This is not a ploy to sell CatScapes, none of which are even shown in the pictures above. It is an attempt to find Pippin a good and lasting home. It just so happens that Pippin loves and benefits from cat shelves so it would be nice for him to have something!
