Do you or your clients have cats?

Many people don’t realize that cats need a specialized environment to avoid scratching furniture, to keep them out from underfoot, off of counters and tables, and to prevent behavioral problems. With a prevailing movement to keep cats indoors, Feline Enrichment is a rapidly emerging field - and is our passion!
An important aspect of feline enrichment is cat shelves. Without occupying valuable floor space, tasteful and well-appointed cat shelves satisfy a cat’s natural instinct to climb and to be high-up. Especially for families who have children, dogs, and even multiple cats, cat shelves afford the cats a feeling of safety and space that reduces stress and keeps them active and healthy.
To address the growing demand, manufacturers have begun offering stylish options, so that cat owners can create environments that meet the needs of cats and are beautiful.

As there is a lot to understand about people when designing a home, there is a lot to know about cats in creating an optimal “catscape”, and CatScapes is here to help!
CatScapes™ is an San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay)-based company dedicated to creating aesthetically pleasing environments that actually engage the cats. Unlike most other cat shelves and furniture on the market, the truly modular system we’ve developed is - all at once: low-profile, minimalist, modern, elegant, adaptable, and cohesive while being structurally sound, even off-studs.
For a seamless customer experience, we can collaborate as a consultant to or subcontractor of your design service. For a personalized catscape tailored to the individual needs of specific cats and owners, we are also happy to work with homeowner/s directly.

Aaron Feldman, CatScapes founder, CEO, and designer, is an award-winning composer who earned a master’s degree in music composition and theory from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. His study and practice of musical composition informs how he designs and composes in physical space.

Meanwhile, his career as a therapist emphasizes somatics (the connection of emotions and physicality). This specialized education, training, and experience, along with his plain and simple life-long love of cats, influences his detailed attention to how cats position themselves, move, and engage with each other and in their environment.
As humans are healthiest and often happiest when they are able to engage their full potential, so to do cats benefit from opportunities to access their extraordinary physical abilities. Most home environments are replete with smooth horizontal surfaces...like providing an ice skating rink to a cross-country runner. CatScapes creates serene and practical environments for cats and their guardians to thrive.
